Each skin type has unique needs. But using the wrong cleanser can throw your skin completely off balance! Be Fraiche is here to help you navigate the world of cleansers and find the perfect match for your skin type. From combination skin to dry and acne-prone skin, we've got you covered.
Let's find the cleanser of your dreams!
Foaming cleansers are ideal for oily/combination skin types. Foam cleansers wash away makeup, sunscreen, dirt and grime. Choose the right formula so it doesn't strip your skin’s natural moisture. Formulated with sensitivity in mind, The Tea Cleanser does just that, all the while leaving your skin feeling refreshed and balanced.
Thanks to ingredients such as aloe vera, green tea and cucumber extracts, The Tea Cleanser is also the perfect cure for soothing acne-prone skin. It’s also great for all skin types during the summer months, or post-workout to help Belle’s cleanse away those sweaty pores!
For those with dry skin, a milk cleanser is like a comforting hug for your skin. Milk cleansers are nourishing and hydrating, providing much-needed moisture for dry and flaky skin. They gently cleanse without stripping away natural oils, leaving your skin feeling soft and supple.
Voted as the Best Probiotic Cleanser in 2023, our Silky Milky Cleanser certainly lives up to the title!
Packed with probiotic, nourishing ingredients, this gentle cleanser restores moisture and promotes a healthy skin barrier. Experience the benefits of:
Say buh-bye to tightness and hello to hydrated, dreamy skin!
The Underrated cleansers of the skincare world! So what are they? Put simply, oil dissolves oil. Adding a balm or oil cleanser can be a game-changer for those with acne-prone skin! It might sound counterintuitive, but oil cleansers effectively dissolve excess sebum, dirt and impurities without overly drying out your skin. You can double cleanse by using a balm or oil cleanser, prior to using our Tea Cleanser - because there’s nothing better than that fresh face feeling!
Choosing the right cleanser is crucial for maintaining healthy, balanced skin. For combination skin types, opt for a gentle foaming cleanser that keeps your skin in check. Dry skin types will appreciate the nourishing embrace of a milky formula or the probiotic power of our Silky Milky Cleanser. And if you're battling acne, The Tea Cleanser is your go-to. Take care of your skin and it will thank you back! So if you want to achieve a naturally radiant, happy glow that shines from within, start with the right cleanser!
]]>BUT before you splurge on more and part with your hard-earned cash, let's simplify your routine and address your skin's specific needs. By focusing on key steps and incorporating targeted products (such as serums or oils), you can achieve healthy, glowing skin, minus the headache! Let's dive in!
]]>BUT, before you splurge on more and part with your hard-earned cash, let's simplify your routine and address your skin's specific needs. By focusing on key steps and incorporating targeted products (such as serums or oils), you can achieve healthy, glowing skin, minus the headache! Let's dive in!
Don't fall for the misconception that more products mean better results. The “less is more” approach really works wonders for your skin. To get that all natural glow, you only really need 3 products to start with:
Take a moment to reflect on your weekly skincare routine and ask yourself questions like:
By asking yourself these questions, you can simplify your routine and identify the culprits that may be causing your current skin concerns. Dryness and redness are often caused by overexfoliation, while congested skin is usually a sign of unsuitable products. Most people don’t realise that overloading their skin with a bunch of different products has more of a negative impact versus a positive one.
Next, let’s address your specific skin concerns with the right type of support:
If your skin tends to appear dry, incorporate a nourishing facial oil with ingredients like jojoba oil, argan oil, or rosehip oil to provide intense hydration and restore the skin's moisture barrier. We recommended The Seed Face Oil which contains a myriad skin-repairing and moisturising ingredients.
Combat excess oils and maintain a balanced complexion with a moisturiser like The Flower Face Cream . Including hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, both of which help to regulate oil production and minimise the appearance of large pores.
Soothe and calm sensitive skin with a specialised serum, such as our Le Calme Serum. Formulated with anti-inflammatory and probiotic ingredients, Le Calme does just that - calm! Revealing a happier, calmer complexion after each use.
Combat signs of aging with an anti-aging serum like our Sans Souci Serum. Enriched with Bakuchiol, Kakadu Plum, Bird Of Paradise and Finger Lime to brighten hyperpigmentation, and stimulate cell turnover for brighter, firmer skin.
So before you whip out your wallet and decide to go on a shopping spree, simplify your routine and review your weekly skincare practices. It will save you time and money otherwise wasted on products you simply don’t need. With these steps in mind, you can achieve healthy, glowing skin without the overwhelm! Remember Belle, it's about the quality, NOT the quantity of the products.
]]>Dry, sensitive skin is characterized by a lack of moisture (oil) and a tendency to react to its environmental or certain ingredients. Your skin can feel tight, rough and easily irritated. That’s why dry skin is often prone to redness, fine lines and wrinkles. Finding skincare products that provide hydration, nourishment and gentle care is essential for maintaining a healthy, balanced complexion.
Look for products containing hyaluronic acid, a powerful “humectant” that attracts and retains moisture in the skin. Hyaluronic acid hydrates and plumps skin, reducing dryness and promoting a supple complexion. If you want to experience the benefits of this amazing ingredient, try our Le Calme Serum or Flower Face Cream!
Repeat after me! Healthy skin = a strong skin barrier! Ceramides are natural lipids that help strengthen your skin's barrier. Look for products with ceramides to replenish and lock in moisture, preventing moisture loss and enhancing the overall resilience of your skin. Some plant oils such as jojoba, contain high concentrations of ceramides and healthy fats that support your skin’s barrier to the fullest! Thinking of adding ceramides to your routine? The Seed Face Oil is the perfect product to start with - especially for dry skin!
Chamomile, calendula, edelweiss, sunflower and sea buckthorn extracts – oh my! … are all delightful ingredients that feel like a calming hug for your skin. They help soothe irritation, reduce redness and provide gentle hydration. Our Flower Face Cream and Seed Face Oil contains all these nurturing botanical extracts to show your skin some love.
Before incorporating any new product into your skincare routine, always patch test it on a small area of your skin. Wait at least 24hrs before using the product to see if your skin shows any signs of a reaction.
Use a mild, non-foaming cleanser to wash your face twice a day. Avoid harsh cleansers that can strip away your skin's natural oils. The Silky Milky Cleanser is specifically formulated for dry, sensitive skin that needs a lightweight, yet nourishing cleanser.
Hydration is key for dry, sensitive skin types. Choose a calming & nourishing moisturiser that contains barrier strengthening ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides and anti-inflammatory plant oils and extracts. Apply it religiously, morning and night to lock in as much moisture as possible, keeping your skin looking supple and soft.
Unfortunately, sensitive skin is much more susceptible to sun damage and can react quickly to overexposure. Protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 or higher. Look for sunscreens that are formulated for sensitive skin and provide physical protection with ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide.
Exfoliating is essential if you want to achieve smooth, clearer skin but exfoliating too frequently can upset your skin’s barrier and cause more damage than good! Avoid harsh exfoliants and opt for more gentle options such as our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator. Use it once or twice a week and be mindful of other acidic products in your routine (retinol, AHAs, BHAs toner, serums, essence, etc) as over-exfoliating can worsen dryness and inflammation.
Choosing the right skincare products for dry, sensitive skin doesn't have to be difficult. By understanding your skin's characteristics, looking for key ingredients and establishing a suitable, consistent routine, you too can nourish and soothe your skin effectively. Remember, gentle care is the secret to healthy, happy skin. Don’t let sensitive skin hold you back!

It's tempting to wash your face frequently to get rid of excess oil but contrary to popular belief, overwashing can actually backfire! Stripping away natural oils can trigger your skin to produce even more oil. Instead, cleanse your face gently, twice a day, using a mild cleanser designed for oily skin.
The Tea Cleanser contains revitalising green tea and lactic acid to help unclog pores effectively. Aloe vera, cucumber extract, and vitamin B5 help soften and soothe any redness or inflammation, making it ideal for acne-prone, congested, and oily skin. Trust me, your skin will thank you!
Yep, oily skin needs moisturizer too! Some believe that because their skin is already oily, they don’t need moisturiser. In fact, all skin types need to moisturise! Skipping moisturiser sends a signal to your skin to produce more oil to make up for the lack of moisture. Opt for a lightweight moisturiser that provides essential hydration without clogging your pores. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide keep oil production in check while providing the essential hydration your skin needs.
Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid are the building blocks for oily skin. Niacinamide helps regulate oil production, minimise the appearance of pores, and calm redness. Hyaluronic acid on the other hand, deeply hydrates without weighing down the skin by attracting and binding water molecules. How cool is that?!
Need a good moisturiser for oily skin? Designed with oily and combo Belle’s in mind, The Flower Face Cream combines these two powerhouse ingredients to give your skin the love and balance it deserves.
Face oils can actually benefit oily skin. Certain oils, such as lightweight jojoba oil, grapeseed or evening primrose oil, mimic the skin's natural sebum and can help regulate oil production. If your skin still feels dry or dehydrated (especially in winter) and you have applied our previous tips, try incorporating a non-comedogenic face oil into your routine. Our Seed Face Oil contains 8 unique seed oils and seabuckthorn fruit extract - designed to give your skin that extra “oomph”, without the oily residue!
When shopping for cosmetics, look for “lightweight” or “oil-free” products. Oil-free makeup is specially formulated to provide hydration and nourishment without adding excess oils that will clog your pores. Congestion and shiny T-zones, begone!
With these five simple steps, you can balance out oily skin and embrace a glowing complexion in no time. Remember to be gentle with your skin and embrace the power of all natural products. Scientifically proven ingredients such as niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, help maintain a healthy balance within your skin and provide an extra boost when needed. Say au revoir to frustration and bonjour to radiant, clearer skin!

Forget AHA-what's and retinol-who's, here at Be Fraîche, we like to keep things simple. While those active ingredients are great for aging, they’re not a one size fits all method. Many of us can’t handle such a high-concentration of active ingredients, especially those who have sensitive skin, so we have created a gentler approach to aging, using natural botanical ingredients that are gentle, yet powerful.
Skin aging is a natural process, and everyone experiences it differently. There are a number of internal and external factors that can affect how quickly or slowly you age.
Internal factors include genetics, hormones and our individual metabolism – these are unavoidable, and we will all face these at some point in our lives due to the passing of time.
However, external factors account for 90% of premature aging and can often be managed by simple lifestyle changes. The biggest factor is sun exposure, as UV rays will damage skin cells over time, causing wrinkles and other signs of aging on the skin's surface), however other issues include pollution, diet, stress levels, amount of sleep each night, or the excessive consumption of alcohol and tobacco.
Sun damage is cumulative over time, so it's crucial that you protect yourself from UV rays if you want to prevent premature aging of the skin. If you’re not already, start using sunscreen every single day - even on cloudy days!
If you're an avid sun worshipper or spend lots of time outdoors, make sure you use SPF 30 or higher during peak hours (10 am - 4 pm). Make sure you re-apply your sunscreen every few hours, to ensure you are fully protected all day long.
Antioxidants are a must in any anti-aging skincare range, because they help to protect your skin from environmental damage, including pollution and UV rays. They also fight free radicals, which can cause premature aging. Antioxidants include vitamins C and E, as well as green tea extract and polyphenols, check out our full guide of antioxidants in skincare to help identify them.
Want to add some antioxidant rich products in your routine? We've combined our 2 antioxidant powerhouses here to save you time and get you on your way to healthier skin!
It is important to keep your skin well hydrated, retaining water to keep your skin cells happy, while maintaining the moisturisation with oil-based products to plump up fine lines and reduce inflammation.
Try adding a facial oil that's rich in antioxidants like our Seed Face Oil to your routine. You can combine it with our a moisturiser that contains hyaluronic acid, or a hydrating serum which can help to prevent your skin cells from getting depleted and thirsty.
Once your skin barrier is strengthened, the surface will feel plump, hydrated and bouncy and less sensitised. You can't beat a strong skin barrier!
Have you tried AHA's, retinols, or acidic products in the past, that have left you feeling nervous?
Retinol (or vitamin A), vitamin C and hydroxy acids have a great history of helping to renew and stimulate skin turnover, especially when it comes to increasing skin elasticity and improving the complexion. However, using a high dosage of active ingredients can sensitise your delicate skin and may cause reactions over time.
Here at Be Fraiche, we have developed a brand new serum made from 100% plant-based ingredients, that can help to reduce the side effects caused by cosmeceutical actives. Sans Souci Serum uses bakuchiol instead of retinol, and finger lime extract instead of AHA's – they have a similar effect, but are much gentler and more tolerable to sensitive skin.
Similarly, instead of a high-concentration of vitamin C, we use Kakadu Plum Extract to help brighten skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation. The results? Brighter, better-looking, bouncier skin without any of the discomfort or sensitivity.
Hot tip: Our serums can be combined for an even better result, without the risk of clashing any active ingredients.
Dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, can make your complexion appear dull and lifeless. Exfoliation gently removes the outermost layer of dead cells that can clog pores and lead to blackheads, whiteheads and breakouts. It does this by loosening the bonds between cells, so that they can be removed just by rinsing or rubbing with a washcloth or sponge.
Our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator contains fruit enzymes from bilberries, lemons, oranges and sugar cane – these luscious natural ingredients help to gently dissolve dead skin cells, leaving behind smoother, more radiant skin.
Here at Be Fraîche, we want looking after your skin to be simple and achievable. We’ve broken our bestsellers down into a Morning & Evening routine, that’s quick and easy to follow and perfect for those of us who are busy juggling all of life’s balls!
Never fear, we’ve got the answer for you: beauty tools! These goodies will take your skincare regime up a notch, and have you on your way to glorious, glowing skin in no time.
]]>Never fear, we’ve got the answer for you: beauty tools! These goodies will take your skincare regime up a notch, and have you on your way to glorious, glowing skin in no time. Let’s get started!
Have you ever cleansed using a konjac sponge? These amazing sponges are made from 100% konjac fibers. They are 100% biodegradable and gentle on even the most sensitive skin, and are well loved for their soothing, gentle properties.
If you’re craving a deep cleanse but don't want the hassle of double cleansing, this is a great option for you. Give your cleanser a boost, by applying it to your wet konjac sponge, and massage it around your face and neck in circular motions. The results? A clean, dewy complexion that's soft to the touch and feels incredible!
Take your pick from our four best-selling konjac sponges, that have been infused with green tea for toning, turmeric for soothing, pink clay for softening or all natural.
Did you know that our Tea Cleanser can double as a natural makeup remover?
Simply apply 1 pump onto one of our Soft Touch Cotton Pads and wipe away gently. You'll be surprised at just how much makeup this cleanser can remove – you might not need to use a separate makeup remover again!
Best of all, our Soft Touch Cotton Pads are biodegradable, reusable and washable, making them a fantastic eco-friendly option instead of disposable cotton pads. Good for your skin, good for the environment!
Guasha is an ancient Chinese medical therapy that uses a wooden or bamboo stick with different textures on it to massage your skin. This practice has been used for centuries to treat chronic pain and inflammation, and can be a great addition to your skincare regime.
Using a Guasha tool alongside our Seed Face Oil is a great way to clear your complexion and restore elasticity in your skin. It can also help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes.
Not sure how much pressure you should apply? Do you not trust yourself with Guasha? Vibrating Facial Rollers come to the rescue! Similar to Guasha, Vibrating Facial Rollers also stimulate blood flow and help with lymphatic drainage, both of which leave your skin feeling radiant. The best bit? You don't need to be a facial massage expert to use it!
Why not try our Uplift Vibrating Facial Roller set, featuring our new and unique rollers with vibrating technology. Let the roller do the work for you, while you’re watching TV or scrolling your phone!
Ready to maximise your serum or facial oil? Simply apply your products to your face after cleansing, and move your rollers in an upwards motion around your face. These electric vibrations will gently massage your face, helping your product absorb while stimulating blood flow and lymphatic drainage. Genius!
To get the best results from your moisturiser, there are three key steps to remember:
The best time to apply your moisturiser is straight after cleansing when your pores are open, and the skin is moist, rather than wet. When the skin is damp, it is more susceptible to absorbing the nutrients from your moisturiser, especially when it's made with powerful flower extracts and antioxidants like our Flower Face Cream.
Dead skin cells can build up over time, which can reduce your moisturiser’s efficiency. Try to exfoliate once or twice a week to help keep the skin soft and smooth, and remember to always apply your moisturiser within the first 15 minutes after showering or cleansing, to really lock all that moisture in.
While it’s important to moisturise your face, don’t forget to give some extra special attention to your neck and decolletage too! Often the first areas to show signs of aging, your neck and decolletage are prone to dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, so be sure to spend some time massaging these areas. You’ll feel like a million buck when you’re done!
The products that you choose make all the difference to your skin health. Try to look for products which don’t contain too many nasties, and opt for simple, natural ingredients that will leave your skin feeling soft, happy and healthy.
A regular, gentle exfoliation will help to remove dead skin cells and keep your skin feeling refreshed – which in turn helps your makeup stay on longer and your skincare absorb faster.
Need a reminder on how to layer your skincare correctly? We’ve put together a handy guide to make your life easier – be sure to pin it, save it, and refer back to it when you need it!

Either you are the type of person who changes your skincare products as often as you change your clothes, or you’re someone who sticks it out for the long haul but hasn’t seen results from your past skin care experiences.
Does either of these types sound like you? Keep reading, because this guide is for you! Before we dive deep into the reality of skincare results, go ahead and repeat after us:
“Skincare is a marathon, not a sprint”
Did you know that our skin needs 28 days to renew itself? That means, you’ll need to stick to your new skincare routine for a minimum of 28 days to see consistent results.
We have compiled some of the most typical results timeframes into a handy guide, so that you can get a feel for roughly how long it can take them to show you the results you’re hoping for.
Exfoliation is an important step in any skin care regime.
Their job is to remove dead skin cells and renew the surface of your skin. Some scrubs and exfoliators, including our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator, can also double as a face mask, leaving your skin feeling soft, smooth and dewy almost straight away!
Hot tip: Make sure your exfoliator is not too harsh – it should be non-abrasive and non-gritty, helping your skin achieve maximum glow!
The purpose of a cleanser is to cleanse your face of the daily grime, so you'll always feel fresh and clean straight after you rinse if off!
Some cleansers have extra benefits (including our Tea Cleanser & Silky Milky Cleanser) such as calming acne, reducing redness and balancing oil production. These additional skin benefits can be long-lasting, and you can typically see extended results after the first month.
Why a month? As we mentioned earlier, that’s how long it takes for the skin to rejuvenate – so stick to it, Belles!
Moisturisers are a must have in any skincare regime, and it’s important that you’re using it twice daily for the best effects.
Make sure you look for a moisturiser that is made from antioxidant-rich plant oils and soothing flower extracts for the best results, like our Flower Face Cream. You’ll be defending your skin against free radicals while keeping your face looking smooth, calm, healthy, and youthful. Who wouldn’t love that?
To build up your hydration and feel the effects of soft, hydrated and plumper skin, use your moisturiser consistently for results within 2 weeks. You’ll feel smoother each time you apply!
When it comes to treatment products, such as Serums, Face Oils, Eye Creams and Retinols, it can take a little more time to show their true benefits.
We recommend allowing your skin to go through its full circle of cell turnover of 28 days, as well as allowing an additional 28 days for their renewal.
The key is consistency, so make sure you keep doing what you’re doing and future you will reap the rewards!
It’s important to remember that these timeframes are just a guideline: as just like personalities, everybody’s skin is different. Some of our Belles will achieve results quickly, and others will take a little more time.
The important fact to take away is that skincare needs time to work its magic – there are no magic wands, just high quality, natural products that are designed just for you!
It takes our skin 28 days to renew itself, which is why a good routine is a must. Testing out a product at the chemist or using a one off sample product won’t give you the full picture, which is why we’ve created our Starter Sets that come with Free Shipping and a 30-day happiness guarantee.

]]>If you’ve heard the name before, it’s probably because there’s a song called ‘Edelweiss’ in the musical The Sound Of Music. The mountain flower grows at altitudes of 5000 to 8000 feet in the Swiss Alps. In countries like Switzerland and Austria, the flower is considered a symbol of love, beauty and purity. Very fitting for our Be Fraiche Belles! For many centuries, it was used to treat stomach aches, sore throats and rheumatic pain. But in recent years, the Edelweiss flower has made its debut in to the skincare world — and we couldn’t be happier! Here are 3 benefits of the skin-saving super-plant.
We can’t think of a much tougher place for a plant to grow than on the top of a mountain in a harsh, Alpine climate. Not only does the Edelweiss survive in those conditions, it actually thrives. Yep, it’s a pretty resilient little plant! The reason it’s able to grow in these conditions is because it’s loaded with flavonoids and phenolic acid. These same compounds offer human skin natural UV protection, which is why Edelweiss has been popping up in so many sunscreens lately!
When it comes to safeguarding your skin against premature aging, the Edelweiss could give vitamin C a run for its money! Firstly, there’s the fact that it contains a high concentration of flavonoids and phenolic acid that aid to provide a level of protection against sun damage. Secondly, it’s loaded with antioxidants that scavenge harmful free radicals, which can help to prevent the signs of premature aging. Thirdly, these antioxidants lead to the production of collagen — which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The better question would be, what can’t Edelweiss do help keep your skin looking stunning and youthful!
‘Anti-inflammatory’ are the words on everybody’s lips at the moment, particularly in terms of your diet. But while turmeric golden mylk lattes the anti-inflammatory hero of the health world, Edelweiss is leading the charge in the skincare domain. It contains natural soothing agent, bisabolol and plant sterol called beta-sistosterol, which helps to soothe and heal red, dry and inflamed skin. So, Edelweiss is a particularly great skincare choice when it comes to keeping your looking gorgeous and radiant all year round! You can get your hands on our anti-aging moisturiser (enriched with Edelweiss, of course!) The Flower Face Cream below:

]]>Have you tried lathering on an assortment of "intense hydration" serums and potions, but found that the dryness doesn't seem to go away?
Don’t worry, we’ve all been there! This is where it’s important to find out if your skin is dry or dehydrated, so that you can give her what she really needs!
To understand the difference between dry and dehydrated skin, we need to go back to basics. The first thing we need to know is what makes skin healthy.
Healthy skin contains two main components: water & oil. Our skin barrier is made up of lipids (fats) and ceramides (fatty acids) and when it is working optimally, it keeps the water in your skin while keeping any harmful outside elements out.
In simple terms, healthy skin contains the right balance of water and oil.
Dry skin is a lack of oil.
Dry skin is a skin type and is often genetic. It is determined by how your sebum is produced and distributed on your face. People with oily skin produce too much sebum, while people with dry skin produce too little sebum. Individuals with dry skin will often experience flaking, tightness, and cracking of the skin. Dry skin can also be aggravated by harsh chemicals or low humidity environments.
Dehydrated skin is a lack of water.
Dehydrated skin is a condition that is most commonly caused by external factors, such as sun exposure, stress, and diet and lifestyle choices - particularly smoking. Internal factors, including hormonal changes during menopause or pregnancy, can also lead to dehydrated skin. Other lifestyle habits that may contribute to dehydration include drinking alcohol or caffeine, eating processed foods and frequent exercise.
Both Dry and Dehydrated skin can feel similar, and particularly tight and dry. However, if you pay a little attention, you can distinguish the 2 skin conditions quite easily:
Dry skin:
Dehydrated skin:
The best way to target dry skin is to add a facial oil into your routine. This will help to plump up the dry area, targeting fine lines and wrinkles and softening any rough patches of skin.
Our Seed Face Oil is one of our customer’s favourite products, and for good reason. It contains nourishing plant oils such as jojoba, prickly pear, rosehip and buriti, as well as seabuckthorn extract. Together it effectively soothes redness and dry patches, even after only a few uses.
In the colder months, layering your facial oil with your moisturiser brings about the best results. Look for moisturisers that are free from alcohol and artificial fragrances, as these ingredients can be harsh on our delicate skin barrier. Our Flower Face Cream is high in antioxidants (check out our antioxidant experiment to find out more!) and soothing plant oils, which help to replenish dry skin without leaving a heavy feeling.
The best way to target dehydrated skin is to give it what it wants. It needs hydration – or water – rather than oil; this is why applying thick creams won't necessarily help solve the problem.
Dehydrated skin loves products that are rich in humectants (also known as water-binding ingredients). These will help to draw moisture into your pores and lock in hydration, creating a plumper appearance.
Our Le Calme Serum contains PENTAVITIN® (Saccharide Isomerate) which is a 100% naturally derived plant complex that is bursting with hydrating properties. It helps soothe sensitivity, refill thirsty skin cells and bind water for 72 hours straight! When layered with our Flower Face Cream which contains 2 types of hyaluronic acids, it’s a power combination that will have you in hydrating heaven.
Whether you’re dry, dehydrated or have combination skin, our range of gentle and natural skincare products will have you on your way to beautiful, supple and glowing skin in no time!
]]>Changing your skincare routine to suit the season is easier than you might think. Just like how you vamp up your work outfit for a night out by adding some accessories, adapting your skincare routine for the changing seasons can be as simple as adjusting 1 or 2 products in your routine.
When the weather is getting colder and drier, it's important to find a gentle cleanser that won't strip away all of your skin’s natural oils. In Autumn and Winter, your skin can often need a little more ‘oomph’, so it’s important to use products that will help to get rid of dirt and impurities, while still leaving your skin soft and comfortable after use. Try our Silky Milky Cleanser; it's gentle enough for daily use, but tough enough to help calm your skin down when she's acting up, or suffering from hormonal or stress related acne.
Just like updating your wardrobe, your skin needs a slightly different cleansing routine when it comes to warmer months. Simply swap your milk cleanser to a light, fluffy foaming cleanser to help remove sweats, sunscreen and impurities more effectively. Our Tea Cleanser is very gentle on sensitive skin and doesn't make skin feel gritty while leaving it fresh, soft and clean.
To prevent clogged pores and breakouts due to congested skin, we recommend to double cleanse your skin once or twice a week with an oil-based cleanser, or simply use a konjac sponge daily with your cleanser to gently exfoliate and deep cleanse your skin.
As we get older, our dead skin cells don't slough off as quickly as they used to, which can lead to clogged pores and cause dull complexion. The best way to know if your skin is under-exfoliated, is by how your products are working. Have you noticed that your makeup doesn't stick as well as it used to, or that your skincare products don’t seem to be absorbing as they should? Exfoliating once a week will help to keep your skin healthy and glowing all season long. Check out our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator; it’ll leave your skin feeling refreshed and unbelievably smooth after use!
If you have dry or sensitive skin, adding a facial oil to your routine during the winter months is a great option. Facial oils provide an extra layer of protection to your skin, against moisture loss and environmental aggressors such as windburn and indoor heating. The best facial oils will utilise a formula that is ultra nourishing, but still lightweight enough to let your skin breathe. Our Seed Face Oil does just this! It works beautifully in combination with our Silky Milky Cleanser and Flower Face Cream.
When the weather is getting warmer, we all love going out to enjoy outdoor activities such as picnics, beaches and exercises, more perspiration means more hydration needed. Add an extra layer of hydration to your skin by using our Le Calme Serum to prevent dehydrated and dull skin and soothe any inflammation or redness due to long hours of sun exposure. The best way to keep your skin plump, soft and well-hydrated in summer without the feeling of tackiness / greasiness is to combine Le Calme Serum with our Flower Face Cream. Both are super lightweight, rich in antioxidants and possess long-lasting hydration power that will keep your skin youthful and hydrated all day long!
The best way to prevent aging? Use sunscreen everyday, 365 days of the year!
It may look a little darker and feel a little chillier, but UV radiation is still beaming down on us in the winter months. It’s important to continue applying sunscreen every day! If the thought of slathering on more product makes your skin feel greasy, don’t worry - there are plenty of lightweight options out there that won't leave you feeling sticky or smudgy under your makeup. Try a few out for yourself, but for those of us with sensitive skin, just remember - it’s always a good idea to patch test new products before applying.
The seasons are ever-changing, but that doesn’t mean your favourite skincare has to change! With a few easy steps, you can adapt your routine and be on your way to healthy, happy, glowing skin, no matter what the season throws at you!
Head over to our collections to browse our range of simple and natural skincare products, designed to help calm, soothe, protect and strengthen even the most sensitive skin!
So what IS combination skin? It’s skin that has areas of both dry and oily skin. The T-zone, consisting of forehead, nose and chin, is typically the oilier part of the face, while the cheeks and chin areas are often drier.
It can be tricky, as you don't want to over-moisturise and cause breakouts, or under-moisturise and cause your face to be dry and flaky. The key to having great looking skin is balance. You want to keep the oil production at a minimum, at the same time as keeping the skin moisturised well to prevent dryness.
If you research combination skin online, you would likely be advised to spot-treat the different areas on your face with different products - but with Be Fraiche, you don't have to! Our products are designed to keep combination skin balanced, keeping sensitivity in mind at all times. Now that you know what your skin is craving, it’s time to get started!
A good cleanser is an essential part of any skin care routine. If you have combination skin, watch out for harsh ingredients such as SLS’s, SLE’s, and alcohol. These ingredients can make oil production go into overdrive, and make your dry skin even drier – which can even lead to breakouts!
The best cleanser for combination skin is a formula that is gentle and non-stripping. Our Tea Cleanser works on both the oily and the dry areas of your face at the same time! It contains aloe panthenol, aloe vera and cucumber extracts to soothe redness and sensitivity, while the green tea extract helps to tone the skin and cleanse away impurities gently and effectively.
Believe it or not, the best way to reduce the oil production on your face is to use oil as a part of your skincare regime! Most people with combination skin tend to use harsh cleansing products or water-based products, in the hope of stopping the production of excess oil. In fact, this deprives the skin of moisture and oils, and in turn the sebaceous glands will produce MORE excessive oil to compensate for the lack of it.
Choosing the right facial oil for oily, combination is important. You don't want anything that's too heavy or comedogenic, because it can cause breakouts. Look for a facial oil that's specifically formulated to achieve balance like our Seed Face Oil.
It contains soothing, light and fast-absorbing plant oils such as Apricot Kernel, Jojoba, Prickly Pear Seed oil, Camellia, Rosehip and Evening Primrose. These oils are similar to our own natural sebum, and won’t clog your pores. They're chock-full of antioxidants and vitamins that allow your skin to breathe without feeling greasy. Plus, we've included Buriti and Seabuckthorn oils to calm redness and sensitivity - what a bonus!
Repeat after me: "I will not skip my moisturiser!"
When you have combination skin, you need to be wary of thick and heavy moisturisers that can cause clogged pores and breakouts. Instead, look for a lightweight moisturiser that won't feel heavy or stifling on your skin, like our luscious Flower Face Cream. It contains niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, which are the skin's building blocks that help balance and strengthen your skin’s barrier. You’ll love how it feels on your skin!
It may seem tricky at first, but it can actually be very easy to take care of combination skin. Head over to our website today and grab yourself one of our Starter Sets; you’ll be on your way to happier, healthier skin in no time!
If you've tried various moisturisers, creams and oils but your skin still feels like the Sahara Desert… this blog is for you!
We're going to tackle the most common skincare mistakes that lead to Dry Skin, and share some tips to help you get your skin feeling comfortable, supple and moisturised all year round.
It’s time to take a look at what you’re currently using on your skin. If you are using products such as retinol serums, lactic acid toner or AHA masks over the week but still not seeing results, chances are you're over-exfoliating your skin with active ingredients.
Over-exfoliation can strip away your skin’s natural barriers, leading to tightness and flakiness. This dryness can cause you to apply additional moisturiser, thinking it will solve the problem. In actual fact, your skin needs the acid mantle and the lipid barrier present, in order to protect it from external aggressions and keep it resilient, supple and moisturised.
The damage from over-exfoliation can take some time to repair, which is why it is important to take a break from those kind of active ingredients. We recommend allowing at least 4 weeks for your skin cells to fully turnover. In the meantime, try using gentle products that will replenish the skin with moisture and hydration daily. Our Moisturisation Boost Duo is the perfect choice, as our Seed Face Oil and Flower Face Cream contain antioxidants, omega's and soothing botanical extracts to help soothe, repair and revive your skin's barrier.
Surprisingly, the most common reason behind dry skin has nothing to do with your choice of moisturiser, but everything to do with your choice of cleanser.
Cleansers that are too harsh can strip the skin of its natural oils, which can leave it feeling dry and tight. When selecting a cleanser, make sure you choose one that is gentle and soothing, with a pH balance that is close to your skin’s. Choose from our Tea Cleanser (for oily, combination skin) and our Silky Milky Cleanser (for ultra dry skin).
Did you know that dry skin is the result of a lack of oil, while dehydrated skin is a lack of water? How do you know which type you have? To find out whether your skin is dry or dehydrated, we’ve a full blog post for it but the main points can be summarised as below:
For dry skin, using a facial oil may do the trick to help replenish the moisture loss. For dehydrated skin, you may find that a hydrating cleanser or moisturiser that contains hyaluronic acid would work best.
Using the wrong products for your skin type is just like surviving on supplements without eating proper meals. Your skin is in constant need of nutrients that can help her to look "full", soft and supple. If you don't know what your skin type is, check out this guide to find out more.
The best way to establish a simple and correct skincare routine for your skin type, is to go back to basics. What does that mean? It means sticking with a cleanser and a moisturiser for 28 days straight – the average time that our skin needs to turn over and start to repair itself.
Our Basic Duo is the perfect pair to get you started. Our Tea Cleanser helps to gently cleanse away dirt, makeup and impurities, while our Flower Face Cream helps to repair the skin's barrier and keep your skin hydrated all day long.
If you layer your skincare products in the correct order, they will absorb better and work harder. Speaking of absorption, it's important to apply products from thinnest to thickest formula, as this ensures each product penetrates the skin without interference.
Not sure how to use your products in the correct order? Take a peek at our handy guide on how to layer your skincare for best results:
So you’ve read all of the common mistakes that lead to dry skin, and maybe even identified one or two that speak to you! In summary, here’s what you can do to get started on making a difference:
Happy and healthy skin isn’t far away – make use of these tools listed above to help you combat your dryness and bring back the hydration!
While ‘free radicals’ sound like they’d be the cool kids at school, they’re actually unstable molecules which steal electrons from other molecules, causing damage to DNA and other cells. Not cool at all! This is known as the oxidation process and is caused by things like stress, sun damage, pollution and alcohol. Your body can deal with a certain amount of free radicals — in fact, it needs them. But once there’s an overload, it can lead to all sorts of issues, including accelerated ageing. That’s where antioxidants come to the rescue, by neutralising the oxidation process and preventing further damage.
The most common antioxidants found in food are vitamins A, C and E, and the minerals copper, zinc and selenium. However, antioxidants aren’t always edible and can actually be applied directly to the skin through beauty products to help keep your skin looking youthful and fresh.
To help you navigate your way through the maze of skincare antioxidants, we’ve put together this handy guide, to show you the best ones to look out for.
Botanicals are powerful plant extracts derived from flowers, herbs, nuts, seeds, roots and berries and they’re packed with antioxidants that work absolute wonders for your skin. Here are some of the botanical extracts we use in our range of natural products:
Not only is green tea excellent for your health, it’s incredible for your skin! Green tea extract contains a high concentration of powerful antioxidants called polyphenols, which are known to stop free radical damage in its tracks, reduce skin inflammation and help to soothe acne. Green tea extract is the starring ingredient in The Tea Cleanser.
Introducing our favourite skincare saviour, the Edelweiss flower! The extracts from this gorgeous mountain flower are packed with free radical-fighting antioxidants called flavonoids and phenolic acid. It makes an appearance in our moisturiser, The Flower Face Cream.
This superfood for your face is a berry extract that grows on a shrub-like tree. Packed with 190 nutrients and antioxidants like carotenoids and vitamins A, C, and E, it fights free radicals while keeping your skin nourished and hydrated. It’s the one of the rare extracts that contain a high percentage of omega-7 along with omega-3, 6, and 9. You can find it in The Seed Face Oil.
Not only can you load up on vitamin antioxidants by noshing on delicious superfoods, you can actually fast-track their anti-ageing benefits by including them in your skincare regime. Here are some of the most effective vitamin antioxidants:
Also known as retinol, vitamin A is well loved in the skincare world thanks to its amazing anti-ageing benefits. However, ladies with sensitive skin may find it too harsh, which is why we use natural and gentle sources of vitamin A in our products, such as seabuckthorn extract & bakuchiol.
Also known as niacinamide, vitamin B3 is like your skincare guardian angel. Not only does it help protect your skin from the damaging effects of the sun, it helps to boost the immunity of your skin and reduces the appearance of ageing. You can find it in The Flower Face Cream at 2% which is the perfect ratio for sensitive skin.
Sourced mainly from citrus fruits, vitamin C extract is extremely popular in serums thanks to its ability to stimulate collagen production, brighten skin, and fight wrinkles. Did you know that Australian native Kakadu plums contains 10 times more of vitamin C than oranges?
A slightly lesser known but equally amazing vitamin antioxidant, vitamin E speeds up new skin cell growth (hello, baby soft skin!) and treats wrinkles and pigmentation. It plays a very important role in The Flower Face Cream and The Seed Face Oil.
Much like your morning cappuccino, active ingredients are what make your skincare work harder. They’re great for treating specific skincare issues like fine lines and pigmentation. While some active ingredients are manufactured in labs, they can also be created using natural antioxidants, including:
Also known as ubiquione or vitamin Q, CoEnzyme Q10 is an oil-based vitamin substance. It’s found naturally in the body but decreases with age and is a star player when it comes to reversing the signs of free radical damage on the skin. Want to replenish your skin with coenzyme Q10? Look for our Seed Face Oil.
Turns out, grapes are good for more than just making wine or fruit salads! Made from the skin of red grapes (and funnily enough, peanuts) Resveratrol is one of the strongest ingredients that can be applied to the skin to protect from and repair environmental damage.
It’s the most potent natural antioxidants to date! It is an extract derived from the leaves and seeds of the babchi plant and is commonly used to help heal, calm, and soothe the skin, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It helps with wrinkle reduction, increases skin firmness, and reduces the appearance of pores – but best of all, it’s great for sensitive skin sufferers.
Sounds amazing, right? What if it's combined with the best source of vitamin C, Kakadu Plum, Finger Lime and Hibiscus extract? See the magic right here!

]]>Just like achieving the perfect smoky eye makeup look, more is not always more. This applies to washing your face, too. Obviously, it’s super important to cleanse daily to keep your skin squeaky clean and remove any dirt or oil build-up. But every time we wash or exfoliate our faces, it removes some of our skin’s natural oils. And when that happens, our skin seeks to rebalance by producing more oil. So cheeky! That means that if you’re going overboard with washing your face, your skin will go into oil production overdrive — leading to pesky breakouts. So, how often should you wash your face? For most people, if you’re thoroughly cleansing at night, you shouldn’t have to do it again in the morning.
On the topic of washing your face, exfoliating too often is another no-no. Let's look at what's in your bathroom cabinet: you've got some face scrubs, AHA cleanser, retinol peeling cream, and you love using them all. We know, they make your skin look and feel ah-mazing after just one use — but using them too often will make your skin more sensitive and even leads to breakouts. Let's keep exfoliation to once or twice per week. You can alternate chemical and physical exfoliants each use but it's best to keep it minimal, allowing enough time for your skin to renew itself without over-stimulating it.
There are plenty of things that belong on your face — like natural beauty products and a big, gorgeous smile. However, baking soda is most definitely not one of those things. Whether it’s applying it to your pimples or using it to cleanse or exfoliate, this is one pantry staple you want to steer clear of when it comes to skincare.
Here’s why. Our skin pH is usually between 4.5 to 6 - it’s slightly acidic by nature, but baking soda is highly alkaline, can you guess what its pH is? It’s 9! Not only is it likely to dry your skin out, if used it for a long period of time, it will damage the skin’s acid mantle and weaken its barrier over time. Have you ever seen how baking soda is used to remove black tarnish from silver or tough grease from dirty stoves? I bet you wouldn’t want to use it on your face. Let’s leave baking soda where it belongs — a tiny amount in a delicious cake!
All of our belles are unique — and so is their skin! That’s why it’s so important not to take a one-size-fits-all approach to skincare. The products that work for your bestie may not necessarily work for you if you’ve got dry skin and hers is on the oily side. That’s why we recommend taking a targeted approach to skincare and picking your products based on your individual skin type. You can learn more about determining your skin type here.
Have you been told that you don't need moisturiser because you have oily skin? Wrong! In fact, the over-production of sebum is often triggered by the lack of moisturisation. By using moisturiser, we replenish our skin the moisturisation it needs, telling our sebaceous glands to relax and chill. Our Flower Face Cream, a light-weight moisturiser containing hyaluronic acid which holds 1,000 times its weight in water will be very useful for oily skin on a daily basis. Need a more versatile product? Go for Seed Face Oil, you'll notify your skin will be more balanced and supple after a few uses. Not only does it moisturise it also provides nutrients, vitamins and essential fatty acids that your skin craves and loves! But don’t take our words for it! Read what our customers have said here!

]]>Sometimes, there’s a clear cause of breakouts (like when it’s ‘that’ time of the month or you’ve just tried a harsh new face scrub that doesn’t agree with your skin). But other times, just like that bad boy who texts you every six months, they seem to come out of nowhere. And it always seems to be when you’ve got something important on the next day — like a job interview or a hot date. So, to help you banish acne, we’ve put together this handy face mapping guide to what your breakouts actually mean and how to treat them:
The culprit: Stress or the digestive system
If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends lately, your skin could be trying to send you a message that you need to take some time out for yourself. Acne on the forehead has also been linked to digestive issues — so if you’ve also been experiencing symptoms like bloating or indigestion, that could be also be to blame.
The solution:
Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and allowing yourself to take some time off for meditation, exercise and other self-care activities. If you believe digestion could be the cause, it’s worth chatting to your doctor or naturopath so they can rule out any food intolerances. They may also suggest an anti-inflammatory diet, cutting down on dairy, sugar, gluten and adding a lot of vegetables to your meals. Prebiotic / probiotic and supplements may also be prescribed to support your gut health. Oh, and don’t forget to cleanse your skin daily with a gentle cleanser that contains probiotic (papaya enzyme) for your face like our Silky Milky Cleanser — it helps cleanse away all the build-up gently, effectively while keeping any inflammation and redness at bay.
The culprit: Pollution or allergies
While rosy cheeks can make you look fresh and healthy, inflamed breakouts unfortunately don’t have quite the same effect. This type of acne is linked to allergies and pollution. Some common causes include dirty pillowcases, makeup brushes and phone screens, as well as spending time in polluted areas (the price we pay for being city girls!) Breakouts on the cheek can also be caused by respiratory issues—so obviously, smoking is a big no no.
The solution:
Make sure you’re regularly wiping down or washing anything that comes into contact with your face. If it's due to pollution in the area where you live, make sure you’re cleansing daily and and replenishing with antioxidant-rich products, like our Flower Face Cream and Seed Face Oil. These are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and essential fatty acids, which can help fight free radicals and the ageing effect pollution can have on the skin.
Here's how we've helped our Belles reduce the appearance of acne:
The culprit: Heart, blood pressure or clogged pores
Breakouts on the nose can be connected to your heart and blood pressure. This area also produces more oil than any other area on the face, so clogged pores could also be responsible.
The solution:
To keep your heart healthy and your blood pressure down, it’s a good idea to cut back on meat and spicy foods and add more yummy good fats like avocado, nuts and flaxseeds. Also make sure you’re double cleansing your face with a gentle face scrub like our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator and cleansing with a gentle cleanser, to ensure your pores aren’t clogged. It may sound counter intuitive, but congested skin can also be effectively treated with plant oils, like our Seed Face Oil. Many of our customers have vouched for that!
The culprit: Hormones
You may notice that when you break out during your period, it’s normally around your chin and jawline. This is no coincidence! Breakouts in these spots have been linked to your hormones and when your have your period, it makes your skin produce more oils —making you more pimple-prone. However, if you tend to break out on your chin and jawline even when you don’t have your period, it could be a sign you have a hormonal imbalance.
The solution:
Getting plenty of beauty sleep, cutting down on dairy, sugar and coffee and eating a clean, well-rounded diet can help keep hormonal acne at bay — during your period and beyond! It’s also a great idea to give your skin some extra love, by doing a face mask with fruit acids to gentle unclog your pores while calming your breakouts — like our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator (Yep, it doubles as a mask. So versatile!)

But did you know that a bad boy could actually be lurking in your bathroom cabinet right now? No, he hasn’t snuck through your window again. We’re talking about the bad boys of the skincare world - the toxic ingredients that hide in your products. Like those dashing delinquents, they often come wrapped up in pretty packaging. But don’t let that fool you - they spell serious trouble for your skin, the environment and even your overall health.
So that you can dump those bad exes for Mr. Right, we’ve rounded up the clean beauty swaps you can make using natural ingredients. Read on for the 5 skincare bad boys to look out for and their clean alternatives.
What is it: Parabens are preservatives often used in skincare products to stop the growth of fungus, bacteria and other microbes. While this may sound like a good thing, the downside is that nowadays we may expose to parabens more than we should, not only in skincare but also in food (the processed and canned food that we eat) and even in nature (some fruits, such as berries, contain natural parabens as part of their anti-bacterial mechanism)! Some research suggested high level of exposure to parabens may lead to an increased risk of breast cancer. Sensitive Belles may find parabens to be quite harsh, they can also cause red and irritated skin.
Can be found in: Pretty much any skincare product that contains water - from cleansers and creams, to serums and toners.
The solution: The good news is, you don’t have to resort to using skincare products with parabens to get super hydrated skin. You can ditch the bad boy in favour of the white knights: all natural, oil-based skincare products. Our Seed Face Oil uses plant and botanical oils to give you dewy, glowing skin. Our Flower Face Cream, while providing similar benefits, is carefully formulated with natural preservative to keep nasty bacteria at bay!
What is it: SLS? More like, SOS! Sodium Lauryl Sulfates are often added to skincare products to help them foam up and cleanse the skin. However, they also trip your natural sebum and are linked to inflamed and irritated skin.
Can be found in: Most cleansers.
The solution: Just as you don’t need the bad boy to have a good time, you don’t need a foaming cleanser to get a good cleanse. Switch to cleansers that contain only natural ingredients, like Tea Cleanser. Not only does it contain corn and coconut derivatives for a deep cleanse, it also includes aloe vera, cucumber and green tea extracts to soothe your skin.
What is it: Unlike the other bad boys on this list, you can actually see microbeads. They’re those minuscule plastic balls used to scrub your skin in exfoliant products. They also happen to be bad news! Not only are they incredibly rough on your skin, they can also cause long-term ripping and damage. They’re also terrible for the environment, as they often end up in our oceans where marine life mistake them for food and swallow the poisonous balls.
Can be found in: Exfoliating products and scrubs.
The solution: Microbeads are often used in exfoliating products because they’re cheap to produce but girl, you’ve got more class than that! Kick that bad boy to the curb and instead pick up our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator, which uses Japanese Adzuki beans and fruit extracts to gently remove dead skin cells and leave you with soft, radiant skin.
What is it: Synthetic colours are the perfect example of how good looks can be deceiving. These are artificial dyes that serve no other purpose than to give your skincare products a pretty colour - but they’ve been identified as a carcinogen (potentially cancer-causing) and skin irritant.
Can be found in: Any skincare product.
The solution: Natural oils and extracts are abundant in colours! Our products use only the purest, most powerful and soothing natural ingredients to give them their vibrant colours - like calendula oil in our Flower Face Cream and buriti oil, rosehip oil and seabuckthorn extract in our Seed Face Oil. They're good for your skin, gentle and look beautiful!
What is it: While mineral oil may sound harmless, it’s actually a colourless and odorless oil made from petroleum. Just as that bad boy in your life is known to break your heart, mineral oil can clog your pores, leading to blackheads and breakouts. Not fun!
Can be found in: Lotions, creams and ointments.
The solution: Start a Be Fraîche journey with us! We may be humble and not well-known, but we’re gentle, hard-working and are genuinely committed to making your skin (and your life!) happier than ever! Not sure where to start? We've made these cute and compact Starter Sets just for you:

Ever been on a date where you’ve sat in silence at the movies or struggled to hear each other at a loud bar? Yep, new relationships are kinda awkward, especially when it comes to Valentine’s Day. A million thoughts run through your mind. “Do I get them a present? Will they get me one? Is it weird if we go out to dinner on V Day if we’re not officially ‘together”?
If you are planning on spending the day with your new beau, a great idea to take the pressure off is doing something active. Think, going kayaking or tackling an obstacle course together. Whether you’re married or have just been together forever, chances are you’ve had your fair share of dinner and movie dates throughout the years. So, one of the best things you can do to keep the romance alive this Valentine’s Day is go back to basics.

You’ll be reminded of what made you fall in love with your partner in the first place — whether it was his cheeky smile, kind eyes or sexy accent (and if it was all three then you’re one lucky Belle!) That said, just because you’re doing a digital detox, doesn’t mean you have to just stare into each other’s eyes all day.
There are plenty of fun and romantic activities you can do on Valentine’s Day, like going on a picnic or snuggling up under the stars at an outdoor cinema. Or, you could always have a romantic night in. Give him a hint. We've put everything you need in our Limited Edition gift boxes, add 2 glasses of wine and you're sorted! Let us take care of the gift so you can enjoy the day!

The good news is, there’s an easy way to kickstart the momentum and get your year off to a flying start...
]]>The good news is, there’s an easy way to kickstart the momentum and get your year off to a flying start: having a great morning routine in place.
We like to think of each morning as a new opportunity to have a beautiful day. What you do when you wake up sets the tone for the rest of the day. So, if you get up half an hour late and have to frantically search for a pair of clean clothes, the rest of the day is likely to follow suit. But if you actually take the time to do things that make you feel great, you’re putting yourself on the path to success.
Here are 5 simple things you can do to start your day — and year! — on the right note:
1. Meditate
Even if you don’t consider yourself a spiritual person, meditation is an amazing way to begin your day. You don’t have to do it for long, either! Even carving out just 5 to 10 minutes to sit in contemplative silence will work wonders for putting you in the right headspace. You’ll be amazed at how focused and relaxed you feel for the rest of the day, just by doing this one small thing.
2. Get activeDon’t worry — we’re not going to suggest you run 8 km before 8 am (unless that’s what you’re into!) But doing a form of exercise you enjoy is a fantastic way to get your blood pumping and start your day on an endorphin high! Plus, working out in the a.m. means you’re getting it out of the way, so you won’t have to worry about it later. That means more time for snuggling up on the couch with a great book when you get home from work! Whether you take your dog for a walk, do some yoga, have a solo dance party, we guarantee your body (and mind) will thank you for it later.
3. Have a healthy, filling breakfastWhen you’re in a hurry to get to work, it’s tempting to grab a piece of toast and sprint out the door. While this may a convenient option, it’s not the most satisfying. So, chances are you’ll be reaching in to your snack draw by 11am! Instead, it’s worth taking the time to make a delicious, healthy breakfast that will actually fill you up. A good rule of thumb is to opt for something that includes protein, good fats and low-GI carbohydrates, like avocado and poached eggs on wholemeal toast or a delicious smoothie.
Nothing helps you start your day feeling like a goddess like a morning pampering session! “But I don’t have time for that!” you may protest. Well we’ve got great news for you, Belles – our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator only takes 3 to 5 minutes. So, you can pop it on while you’re making your morning coffee or cleaning your teeth! Follow it up with our Seed Face Oil and you’ll have glowing, hydrated skin all day long.
5. Write your to-do listIt may sound obvious, but writing a to-do list is a great way to get your head around everything you need to achieve that day. But so that it’s not too overwhelming, just focus on the things that absolutely need to be done that day. Then, go through and prioritise them from least to most important. Bonus tip – writing your to-do list on gorgeous stationary will make this step at least 10 times more fun!

It was a wet and soggy day. Five girls gathered in a tiny apartment, with only X hours to get the shoot done. Thanks to our team’s unwavering professionalism, we were able to finish the shoot in time and actually had a lot of fun! Our gorgeous model, Rachel, has been our fraîche face ever since and we absolutely love her!
2. First time teaching at college
In April, I got a phone call from Sydney Community College asking me to teach my first full-day workshop. Before then, I had been running two to three hour workshops for a year but had never taught a full-day workshop. It was such an amazing opportunity!
I also rewrote the materials and syllabus for my other courses. I wanted to ensure that everyone would actually learn about the ingredients and method and create their own products — rather than just following a recipe.
3. First interstate market in Melbourne
This one was crazy! My husband and I packed 60kg worth of stock, clothing and gear into our two big suitcases and wheeled everything from airport to the airBnB and back. It wasn’t fun or easy, but I’m so glad we did it! I met so many lovely customers and even gained a new stockist. If any of our lovely Melbourne customers are reading this —a big THANK YOU for stopping by our stall and supporting us!
4. First team members
2017 was the year I realised it’s okay to reach out for help. I was so lucky to find two amazingly talented ladies, our copywriter, Emma and social media manager, Cassie. Emma is amazing! She’s got a knack for writing fresh and joyful content that’s so on point and on brand. And then there’s Cassie, the mastermind behind our social media. Have you read those witty Instagram captions, or seen our beautiful images? I don’t exaggerate when I said Cassie is the unicorn I’ve been looking for. I couldn’t do this without these girls and I’m so glad I learned to delegate tasks to people who can do the job much better than me — so I can focus on what I’m great at!
5. First time on TV
The universe has a funny way of bringing amazing things your way when you least expect it. I did not see it coming when the producer of the House of Wellness contacted me and asked me to run a workshop. The experience was nerve-wrecking but so much fun! We got a two good minutes on Channel 7 but it took over two hours to film. It was eye-opening for me to see how much work is involved in a TV show. Thank you so much to those who participated in the workshop with us!
6. We celebrated our first birthday!
Okay, I know this is supposed to be a first five, but I couldn’t leave out our birthday. Be Fraîche turned one in September!
1. Customer feedback
Positive customer feedback like the ones below are what keep us moving forward!
Smells amazing! This is hands down my favourite skincare brand. I've noticed such a massive difference since I've been using it (now going makeup free every day) and the smell is so relaxing. Also, customer service is excellent. Very happy! x
- by Natasha.
Delightful!I have been using the bean scrub since 2016 and am delighted with its consistency and results on my face. Is not easy to find a workable not too rough face scrub for mature age skin and so I keep using this product as its lovely .
- by Alison.
PerfectThis face oil is perfect for my dehydrated and congested skin. I have had issues in the past with breaking out after using some oils but haven't had any issues with this one. I really like the fact that it has minimal essential oils in it and contains Prickly Pear Seed Oil (which I've read good things about!).
- by Corinne.
2. Our workshop students
My students are the kindest people on earth. It means the world to me that they find the workshops so useful and inspiring.
3. Our most loved social media posts.
This year, our social media posts with the largest reach were the ones we shared from the gorgeous girls at @anybody.co_ As a business owner, I love to see how ladies can lift each other up and inspire each other up.
4. Our fab stockists
In 2017, we secured our first five stockists — including one from overseas. You can check them out here.
5. Being on TV
It was our first TV feature, so of course we loved it!
1. More planning
This year, I learned that multi-tasking just doesn’t work for me. Rather than focusing on doing just one thing at a time, I often end the day with many unfinished tasks.
So, I bought myself a business planner for 2018 and have asked a friend of mine to be my accountability buddy. Hopefully, we can keep each other on track next year!
2. Making my health a priority
For the past three years, I have been going out for a walk, run and swim every year. However, I often find myself skipping breakfast, having a crappy lunch and a late dinner when I have a looming deadline. Hopefully, by having a plan in place, I’ll have more time for self-care and making yummy, healthy food to eat at set meal times.
3. Better customer experience
This year, we’re going to put more work into providing a better customer experience and even more amazing products. Watch this space!
4. More collaboration
As you may have noticed, this year we collaborated with some other amazing brands to give you great offers and giveaways. Keep an eye on our social media as we plan to do more of these in 2018!
5. New products
I’ve got some new formulas under my belt and I’m testing them at the moment. They may take a few months or even a full year, but I can’t wait to share them with you! If you love what we’ve created so far, keep your eyes peeled even bigger and better things.
See you all in 2018!
Love, Helen x

It’s so important to stay hydrated when you’re travelling — especially on the plane, when the extremely low levels of humidity can dry out your skin. Always remember that beauty begins from the inside out, so if you’re not hydrated it’s going to show on your face. We know it can be annoying when you need to get up and go to the bathroom every five minutes when you’re on the plane. So, it pays to be prepared by upping your water intake in the days before you leave. That way, you can simply sip water throughout your flight without feeling like you have to chug bottle after bottle. Not only will your skin thank you for it, you’ll feel much less sluggish and tired by the time you reach your destination!
While drinking enough h20 is crucial, it’s equally important to make sure your skin is hydrated on the outside, too! While it’s tempting to use a facial mist mid-flight to perk up your skin, this isn’t actually the best option for hydrating your skin. This is because when the air is dry, it looks for moisture wherever it can — so it robs that added moisture from your skin. Instead, it’s a great idea to go for a rich, hydrating moisturiser like our Flower Face Cream. A facial oil like the Seed Face Oil is a fantastic option too, as it’s ultra-hydrating and fast-absorbing (and comes in a cute, travel-size packaging!).
3. Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse
We get it — you want to channel your inner Belle and look effortlessly glamorous when you touch down in your destination. However, wearing makeup during your flight is a definite no-no. With all the airborne bacteria and stress of flying, your skin has enough to deal with — you don’t want to have a layer of makeup clogging your pores. If you don't like the idea of hanging out in the airport bare-faced, you can pack some gentle makeup wipes and remove your makeup before you take off. For bonus beauty points, give your skin a gentle cleanse with a gentle product like The Tea Cleanser during your flight (just make sure you apply moisturiser afterwards to re-hydrate.)
4. Use multi-functional products
Once you get to your hotel or AirBnB, it’s a great idea to give your skin a good scrub to remove any oil or debris that could lead to breakouts. However, the last thing you want to do is to have to cart around an exfoliator as well as your other skincare products like your cleanser, toner and any face masks. Our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator is a wonderful for travelling, as it’s a multi-tasking product you can use one of two ways. You can simply pop it on in the shower and massage it into the skin until it turns into a milky lotion. Or, you can use it as a face mask and leave it on for a few minutes while you unpack your suitcase! Either way, you’re going to be left with super smooth, gorgeous, holiday-ready skin!
5. Pamper
While it’s tempting to pack as much as you can into your holiday itinerary, it’s important to set aside some time for pampering. After all, when else can you dedicate so much time to self-care? Many of our customers tell us they love our La Vie En Rose Bath Soak but don’t have a bath tub at home. But you know where will have a bath tub? Your hotel room! Our invigorating soak is compact and travel-friendly enough to take in your luggage, so why not use your holiday as an opportunity to have a relaxing bath? We guarantee soaking in the tub after a long day of sightseeing will feel heavenly.
6. Protect
Whether you’re heading to a tropical island or somewhere mountainous, protecting your skin from the conditions is a must. That means applying a 30+ sunscreen every day, wearing a hat (a glamorous, wide-brimmed one is preferable). And yes, you do need to protect your skin with sunscreen if you’re going on a snow holiday — as it is still possible to get burnt. It’s also a great idea to use skincare products that help protect your skin from free radical damage (from UV rays and environmental pollution) like our Flower Face Cream with edelweiss extract.
7. Get your beauty sleep
When you’re in a new city and there’s so much to explore, the last thing you want to do is sleep. However, getting enough shuteye is still important when you’re on holidays — not only for your overall health, but for keeping your skin looking gorgeous. When you’re asleep your body boosts its blood flow to the skin, which gives you a healthy glow. So, when you’re not getting enough sleep, there’s a decrease in blood flow and you’re left with a dull, lacklustre complexion. So, do your best to get your 7 to 8 hours per night — even if it means treating yourself to a cheeky sleep-in!
Need help to pack light on your next holiday? Our Starter Sets are perfect for jet-setters, as you get travel-sized versions of all the products you need to keep your skin in tip top condition while you’re travelling.
]]>That’s why it’s so important to prioritise your own mental wellbeing by regularly practicing self-care activities.
]]>That’s why it’s so important to prioritise your own mental wellbeing by regularly practicing self-care activities. The good news is, you don’t have to check into a 5-star yoga retreat to do it (although if you can make it happen, why not?) There are plenty of cheap and easy self-care activities that will nourish your mind, body and soul. Here are some of our favourites:
Aside from soaking in a hot bubble bath after a chaotic day, take time to care for your physical body (and your skin!) is the best way to unwind, rise your vibration and make you feel good instantly! To ensure you can enjoy your ‘me’ uninterrupted, kindly ask your housemate/partner/small humans not to disturb you for an hour. Then, light your fave scented candle, pop on a relaxing playlist (or bliss out in silence), take time to care for your skin and be present! Want to add some luxury touch? Use the Uplift Virbrating Roller with our Seed Face Oil, enjoy your at-home spa treatment & your goddess glow!
There’s something so invigorating about getting out into the great outdoors, especially if you’ve been cooped up in a stuffy office all day! Whether it’s sitting in the park during your lunch break or going for a solo beach walk on a Saturday morning, the fresh air is sure to help you clear your mind. Plus, you’d be amazed by what a healthy dose of vitamin D can do for your mood and stress levels!
Going out to lunch with the girls is lovely. Not only do you get to catch up on the latest goss, but you have someone to split cheeky pain au chocolat with! But if you ask us, taking yourself out for lunch or coffee is a seriously underrated self-care activity. When you’re by yourself, you don’t have to keep the conversation flowing. You’re free to get lost in your own thoughts (or a great book) or do some people watching. Oh, and don’t worry — nobody will think you’re a weirdo for hanging out alone!
One of the easiest ways to practice self-care is by simply switching off for a while. Whether you do it for an hour or an entire day, temporarily disconnecting will help you recharge your psychological batteries. That means turning your phone off and stepping away from the computer. We promise that pile of emails will still be there for you when you step back into the digital world — and with a clearer mind, you’ll feel far more well-equipped to deal with them!
This one isn’t an activity so much as a life lesson. How many times have you said ‘yes’ to things out of guilt or obligation, but when the day arrives you just want to curl up on the lounge and watch The Bachelor? Yep, we’ve all been there! Saying ‘no’ to plans you’re not keen on isn’t rude or selfish, it’s a crucial part of looking after your own mental wellbeing. You’ll be doing yourself and the people around you a favour if you only accept invitations to things you genuinely want to attend.

Prettifying pumpkin mask
This DIY recipe may not make you look as scary as a ghost or vampire mask, but we guarantee it’s a lot better for your skin! To create this prettifying mask, you simply need pumpkin puree, honey and milk. Pumpkin is ah-mazing for your skin, as it’s packed with fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover to smooth and brighten the skin. It’s also packed with antioxidants Vitamin A and Vitamin C to boost collagen production to prevent the signs of ageing. Meanwhile, milk and honey are renowned for being incredibly soothing for the skin.

]]>
While some people inherit sensitive skin from their parents, it can also be triggered by environmental factors. Exposure to UV radiation and pollutants can create free radical damage, which over time can weaken your skin’s moisture barrier and lead to dry, irritated skin. The good news is, there are a few simple steps you can take to protect and soothe your sensitive skin. Here’s how:
There’s nothing like a nice, hot shower to wake you up in the morning or to help you unwind at the end of the day. Unfortunately, these aren’t so great for your skin as the scorching water can strip the skin of its natural oils and lead to a dry, irritated complexion. By turning down the temperature to lukewarm, you’ll be doing your sensitive skin a massive favour (plus, it’s so much more refreshing in the warmer months!)
Heavy duty skincare products like Retinol, AHAs and BHAs are all the rage in the beauty world at the moment. However, if your skin is on the sensitive side you’ll want to steer clear of these as they can trigger irritation and breakouts. The same goes for heavily fragranced skincare products and abrasive exfoliants such as apricot kernel or walnut shells. Our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator is a great alternative, as it uses super fine adzuki bean and bamboo powder, plus fruit enzymes to gently exfoliate and dissolve dead skin cells.
Not only your skin needs to avoid inflammatory ingredients, so does your body. Have your breakfasts been coffees only as of late? Celebrated 3 birthdays in a row this week? Chances are the pimples you're looking at RN are likely caused by those cakes and drinks! So what to cut out, you ask? Dairy, sugar, coffee & alcohol! Reduce anything that causes internal inflammation, instead, fill your plates with fresh veggies, nutrient-dense food and replace your coffees with herbal teas. It's ok to have fun but your skin & you gut don't have to suffer because of that!
You can make a super soothing mask with the ingredients you already have in your kitchen. Cucumber and aloe vera are your best friends as they’re cooling and gentle, perfect for an after-sun mask. Washing your face with chamomile tea is another great natural remedy for calming red, irritated skin.
Not keen on DIY? Our Tea Cleanser can help soothe redness and breakout with aloe vera, green tea and cucumber extracts. To calm sensitivity and smooth out fine lines, our Seed Face Oil is all your need with all the skin-loving ingredients such as sea buckthorn extract, rosehip, prickly pear and buriti!
Believe it or not, there is an advantage to having sensitive skin. It’s like having a natural radar for products that aren’t so good for us as if a product irritates sensitive skin, it’s usually because it’s loaded with chemical nasties and strong fragrances. For this reason, it’s best to stick to natural ingredients. Our range of all-natural skincare products is just as gentle as they are effective since they harness the power of natural plant oils to soothe and moisturise sensitive skin.
Not sure where to start? We have two cute Starter Sets just for you:

Before you stock up on new products, it’s a great idea to have a look at what you already have. Are there any skincare products in your beauty cabinet that are empty, expired or loaded with synthetic ingredients and fillers that didn’t do anything good to your skin? It’s also worth looking at whether you have loads of different brands and types of skincare. While there’s nothing wrong with a bit of mix’n’matching, generally the products in a range are designed to be used together for best results.
One extremely common cause of skin irritation and breakouts is using unclean makeup brushes and sponges. As yucky as it is to think about, these collect oil, dust and dirt every time you use them — making them the a breeding ground for bacteria. It’s a good idea to give them a clean at least once a week. Don’t want to splash out on expensive makeup brush cleaning liquid? No problem! You can simply deep-clean them with a cleansing oil, makeup remover or baby shampoo, before rising with lukewarm water. Let them air-dry completely before using them again.
Now that you’re ready for a fresh start, it’s time for the fun part — buying new products! We know it can be tempting to pick your skincare products based solely on the pretty packaging but it’s important to remember that not all products are suitable for all skin types. For example, if your skin is on the dry side, you may need a slighter richer moisturiser — but this may be too heavy for oily or sensitive skin. Similarly, if your skin is prone to acne or congestion, it’s best to opt for non-comedogenic products that won’t block your pores. Not sure which camp you fall into? We’ve got you covered with our guide to defining your skin type.
Just like effortlessly cool French girl style or the perfect LBD, sometimes it’s best to keep things simple. This definitely applies when it comes to starting a new skincare regime. You don’t want to shock your skin by introducing 10 new products at once. To reduce your risk of breakouts, start a routine with 2 staple products (a good cleanser and a hardworking moisturiser) for a week to see how your skin reacts. That way, if your skin does break out, it’ll be easier to pinpoint what’s causing it. As you figure out what works for your skin, you can slowly introduce new products in your routine, remember, only bring in 1 new product and try it for a week or two.
Layering your skincare products in the correct order is very important, they will absorb better and work harder. Speaking of absorption, it's important to apply products from thinnest to thickest formula, as this ensures each product penetrates the skin without interference.
Generally, a great skincare regime includes a cleanser, a moisturiser, a skin booster (facial oil, serums) and, of course, sunscreen. It’s also a great idea to exfoliate with a gentle exfoliator once a week and pamper yourself with a face mask every now and again. You deserve it!
Not sure how to use your products in the correct order? Take a peek at our handy guide on how to layer your skincare for best results:
If we were to list all the things we love about natural skincare, we’d be here all day! But one of our favourite things about natural products is how gentle they are on your skin. Many traditional beauty products include harsh, abrasive ingredients such as sulfates, petrochemicals, synthetic colours and fragrances, which can lead to skin irritation and breakouts. By sticking to products that are made from natural and naturally-derived ingredients, you’re more likely to achieve a radiant complexion without your skin freaking out. Our products tick all the right boxes, as they’re natural, effective and come in gorgeous packaging that’ll brighten up your day, and your bathroom! You can check out the full range below:

1. Declutter your space
It’s called spring cleaning for a reason! Your surroundings have a huge impact on your mindset and the way you feel. So, it makes sense that if your living and working spaces are cluttered and chaotic, your mind is going to be too. On the other hand, clean and inspiring spaces can go a long way in reigniting your motivation and productivity. Start with going through your wardrobe and selling or donating the items you no longer wear, don’t fit or simply don’t make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself. Then, spend some time de-cluttering and cleaning your home and work space — adding items that made you happy, like inspiring wall art or gorgeous scented candles.
2. Start a new skincare regime
While you’re on your spring cleaning spree, why not give your skincare collection some attention? Most of us have bottles of beauty products lying around that we no longer use, are expired (yes, they do go off!) or are loaded with harmful chemicals. This is also a great opportunity to think about whether your skincare regime is working for you. Are you using natural, non-toxic products that make your skin fresh, smooth and radiant? If not, you may want to consider doing a clear-out and stocking up on our skincare bundles. Pick a bundle that suits your skin type and voila! You've got everything you need to start the new season with a clear, glowing complexion!
3. Do a digital detox
In this day and age, our digital devices aren’t just gadgets — they’re extensions of our lives! Considering we spend so much time on them, it’s a good idea to regularly de-clutter your phone and laptop. Start with your social media feeds. Do you have anyone on Facebook or Instagram who makes you roll your eyes every time they post (be honest!)? Or maybe they just make you feel a little bit crappy about yourself? Life is too short for negativity, Belles — so just hit unfriend or unfollow. Then, go through your apps and website bookmarks. If you can’t remember the last time you used or visited them, go ahead and press delete!
4. Find a new hobby
Out with the old, in with the new: that’s what fresh starts are all about! So, once you’ve made room in your life by getting rid of things that no longer bring you joy, start introducing things that do! If there’s a hobby you’ve meaning to take up or a new skill you’ve been meaning to learn, now is the time to go for it. Whether it’s going to that dance class, calligraphy or learning to make your own skincare, it’s a great way to learn new things, meet cool people and gain a fresh perspective on life!
- by Emma N.
]]>With the weather getting chillier, it can be hard to leave the comfort of your home at night. But at the same time, you still want to be social and hang out with your fellow Belles! The solution? Bring your BFFs to you by inviting them over for a girly night in! You get to catch up on the latest goss, eat delicious foods and pamper yourselves — all without breaking the bank. Talk about the perfect night in! Here are 8 essentials you should have on hand:
1. Comfy but chic loungewear
Even when you’re just lounging around with your girlfriends, you want to look your best. Luckily, there are plenty of loungewear options that are just as cute as they cosy. Think oversized knits, cuffed sweatpants and bright Ugg boots. Lace and oversize shirts are also feminine and comfortable.
2. Pampering supplies
Why not use your girls’ night in as an excuse to have a pampering sesh? You’ll feel like you’re at the spa as you give each other mani-pedis and relax in your face masks. Our Smooth & Glow Exfoliator is a great option, as it’s in a tube so is easily shared amongst your pals.Make sure you take plenty of selfies with your gorgeous, smooth skin afterwards!
3. A candle
To really give your home that spa feel, you’re going to need a delicious-smelling candle. Whether you go for a sweet vanilla scent or zesty citrus, your friends are sure to compliment you on how amazing your home smells!
4. The perfect playlist
No soiree would be complete without some great tunes. Whether you want to have a boogie to some 90s pop or relax with some chilled beats, there are endless options on Spotify. You can even search ‘Girl’s night in’ for pre-made playlists!
5. Movies
Once you’re feeling relaxed and looking gorgeous, it’s time to tune in to some movies! Rom-coms are always a hit for a girls’ night in, or you could go old-school and rewatch some of a series like Gossip Girl or The OC. There are plenty of options you can stream on Netflix or Stan.
6. Throw rugs
For maximum cosiness, make sure you have plenty of throw rugs on hand for your friends to snuggle up under. Pillows are always a good idea, too!
7. Snacks
You’re going to need some yummy snacks to munch on during your movie-fest. A platter with French cheeses, fruit and crackers is always a delicious and elegant choice. You can even include some of these skin-boosting foods for bonus points. Oh, and don’t forget the chocolate!
8. Red wine
Let’s face it — everything is more fun when there’s red wine involved. Why not treat yourselves to a nice bottle of French vino or Rosé. Or if you’re feeling really fancy, you could even splash out on a bottle of champagne!
- by Emma N.
]]>While we love to snack on chocolate-filled croissants just as much as the next Belles, we also make room on our plates for foods that are loaded with skin-loving antioxidants and nutrients. Ready to eat your way to a beautiful, glowing complexion? These are the 7 best foods to nourish your skin.
1. Avocado
Not only does it taste delish on your morning toast, avocado happens to be an amazing skin superfood! It’s rich in essential fatty acids, which are known for keeping your skin supple and hydrated. Avocados are also a fantastic source of antioxidant carotenoids, which help to fight off the free radicals that lead to premature ageing. Hello, youthful skin!
Avocado also makes a wonderful face and hair mask. Blend smash avocado with yogurt and leave it on your skin and hair to see the miracle. That's one way to care for your skin inside out!
2. Olive oil
Remember how we filled you in on the incredible skin benefits of oil? Well, it turns out they’re just as good for you on the inside as on the outside. Olive oil, that is! Whether you cook with it or drizzle it over your salads, your skin will thank you for its potent antioxidants and essential fatty acids.
3. Turmeric
This spice is about to become your skin’s newest BFF. It’s known for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties, thanks to being high in the active ingredient, curcumin. It helps to dry up oily skin, ward off acne, minimise pigmentation and slow the appearance of ageing! It can help fade scars when used directly on the skin. Treat yourself to a daily golden mylk latte (turmeric milk) or add fresh turmeric to your meals to reap the benefits.
4. Dark chocolate
Yes, you read that correctly! Eating your favourite sweet treat can make your skin glow like a disco ball. This is because it’s high in cocoa flavanols, which help to hydrate the skin and improve circulation. When it comes to making delicious treats with chocolate, the options are endless. It does well in smoothies, desserts, or on its own. Opt for a dark chocolate that’s at least 70% cacao, as it will be higher in skin-boosting antioxidants and lower in sugar!
5. Walnuts
Much like olive oil and avocado, walnuts are rich in the good fats that lead to ah-mazing skin. In fact, they’re the only type of nuts that contain high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids! So, the next time you’re feeling peckish for a snack, go nuts with walnuts — your skin will adore you for it.
6. Oysters
They’re not everybody’s cup of tea, but oysters are the best source of dietary zinc. This mineral plays a huge role in keeping your skin in tip-top condition, as it aids with the growth and function of skin cells. Seafood picnic by the beach, anyone?
7. Pomegranates
Love that lightly flushed look you get after you drink a glass of Moet? Look no further than the fruit aisle at the supermarket. Pomegranates are packed with polyphenol antioxidants that regulate the skin’s blood flow, giving it that rosy-cheek look. Oh go on - drink the bubbly, too!

Rather than trying to fit into a mold of who you think you should be, embrace your individuality. In a world of muffins, be a cupcake with cherry on top! In other words, dare to be different and don’t be afraid to stand out from the pack. At the end of the day, it just makes sense to be yourself — because everyone else is already taken! #itjustmakessense
Step TWO: Love your body
If you’ve ever compared yourself to someone else and wondered why you don’t look like them, remember this quote. “Flowers are pretty but so are Christmas lights — and they look nothing alike!” You can admire another belle’s beauty without questioning your own. When in doubt, check out the Instagram account @any.body_co. The body-confident besties Kate and Georgia are a great reminder that you can be gorgeous at any size.
Step THREE: Look after yourself
It’s much easier to put your best face forward when you’re taking good care of yourself. This means drinking plenty of water, nourishing your body with healthy foods and moving regularly. But it also means getting enough rest, being kind to your body and occasionally treating yourself to that yummy pastry or glass of red wine. It’s all about balance, belles! Another great way to practice self-care is by pampering yourself. There’s nothing like doing a luxurious face mask while relaxing in a bath to release your inner goddess.
Step FOUR: Be kind
“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness.” These words were spoken by one of the original belles, iconic Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn. There’s nothing more beautiful than being kind — to yourself, to the environment, to people you know and even those you don’t. When you’re compassionate, caring and genuine, you radiate beauty from the inside out.
Step FIVE: Shine!
Now that you’ve found your inner belle, don’t be afraid to let her out! Let your inner light shine for the world to see and don’t ever let anybody else dim it.
